A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty if you have a cloud website hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet remarkably user-friendly, and it will allow you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with only a few clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you’ll see a tiny "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will activate the feature, clicking on it once again will disable it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got a different one with this feature enabled or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all email address can be set up with several clicks of the mouse if you have a Linux semi-dedicated package with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll be able to create mailboxes under any domain hosted there. To enable the catch-all functionality for a particular mailbox, you’ll have to click the sign with the same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Disabling the feature can be done in the same way and will not require more than a click either. If the catch-all feature has already been activated for a specific domain name, you will receive a warning message. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never disable or replace anything automatically.
